He encontrado esto sobre el sistema de calibración que incorpora el SR-8500 de Marantz, como ves está en inglés, si te aclaras mira a ver si con este sistema es suficiente;

Marantz Room Acoustic Calibration
Based on our room acoustics knowledge and expertise
already shown in products like the AX1000 we have
developed the Marantz Room Acoustic Calibration (MRAC).
The algorithms developed are derived from this amazing AV
computer developed more then a decade ago. Taking into
account reflections from walls, ceiling and floor and
knowledge about psycho acoustics, MRAC optimizes the
sound for the room acoustics. The SR8500 is one of the first
new generation Marantz receivers which is to feature the
new MRAC function. With the supplied microphone placed
on your listening position, the powerful DSP analyzes
accurately and sets the sound configuration for your
listening room. MRAC can tests and controls speaker
configuration, trim, distance/delay and frequency response.
