I said about motion - it's absolutely perfect in both smooth and standard modes, no judder, no stutter, just beautiful wonderful fluid motion.

HDR is a killer on this set, it's made for it. The picture is brilliant, deep, stunning!

This thing eats 2015 OLEDs for breakfast in every single department (except for the deepest of blacks of course). I can't compare it to a 2016 OLEDs as I had no experience with these sets.

Looks like the z9d has a native contrast ratio of around 3850-3900:1, pretty good.

motion flow clear, local dimming off, xdr off, all other enhancements off. Black level of .027nits at 100nits white is pretty damn good as well.
i turned off local dimming, with the intent being to measure native contrast ratio of the display. Even using a 1% window, with local dimming on black is 0 nits, so i guess there are more than 100 zones

'Watched some of my favorite test scenes from alien, Prometheus, casino royale, dark knight rises, interstellar, guardians of Galaxy, inception.
I'm pretty much speechless. Astonishing fidelity in motion, color, uniformity, and excellent black levels/contrast'

'We watched skyfall on bluray tonight on the newly calibrated z9d. Sony should have named this model "Dios mio", because that is what I was thinking during most of the movie. One of my favorite motion torture tests for TV's is the scene where they are driving to skyfall ranch and the camera is doing a slow ariel pan over the woods along the road. In addition to that shot, as they drive up through the gate and the camera pans vertically across the statue of the stag. Both of those shots caused janky motion on my OLED, but on the z9 it was recreated in faithful 24fps glory. Truly amazing.
Deep blacks everywhere. I have no doubt no that the z9d is the best TV on the market. The only question is whether its worth the price

at contrast 100 native contrast ratio is around 5200:1.
Brightness of 5 gives white 140nit, black 0.027nit. Brightness minimum gives white 106nit, black 0.02nit
