The out-of-the-box image accuracy was excellent before calibration and reference afterwards, with impressive black levels and a highly effective local dimming system. The video processing was also very good, as was the motion handling and the XD94 delivered the goods with both standard and high definition content. Sadly the Sony wasn't as impressive when it came to 3D, with excessive crosstalk ruining an otherwise good image. The HDR performance was largely very good with a great dynamic range and a decent level colour accuracy. However the peak brightness was limited to around 760nits, which would explain why the XD94 doesn't have Ultra HD Premium certification and the display was also clipping test patterns and certain HDR 10 content.

There is also adjusting the gamma, black level adjustment, contrast and backlight. The Pro Cinema mode is still the cheapest cardboard output with colorimetry with Delta E average of 1.93, but differences can mount a delta E of 3 in the last gray levels. It can therefore be used like that, without calibration, but for the more demanding it is still advisable to have provided an effective probe, because with so few differences, a cheap probe could do more harm than good.

The display also supports HDR10 open-source standard out of the box, with accurate PQ tonemapping (from 4K Blu-ray) and a peak brightness surpassing 1000 nits. In the Japanese TV maker’s pursuit of ultra-slim aesthetics however, backlight uniformity seemed to have taken a hit: 65XD9305 review sample suffered from flashlighting from all four corners of the screen, although there’s always a chance that other units in the wild may fare better. The Sony XD93 suffers quite marked light leakage in the 4 corners of the slab that degrade color uniformity and the perceived contrast. Twitch gamers will also be disappointed to learn that input lag has increased by 16ms (i.e. one frame) from last year’s Sony Bravia Ultra HD models. As for the UHD upscaling XD93 is simply the best of the market, above the TV Panasonic, LG, Samsung and others. If I had made reservations at the launch of the 2015 range, meanwhile, Sony proposed updates that have greatly improved the quality of upscaling and sharpness of the image. The upscaling offers a very natural, with a rich texture and an image with a dive with great precision. The Pro Cinema mode is still the mode plus the near Cinema colorimetry with Delta E of 2.5 average on the gray scale (for rap, below 3 is considered the excesses are not visible) but spreads may rise to 4 in the last gray levels. The color space is also very fair with an average Delta E of 2.8 on the Color Checker and 3.7 on saturations. The average color temperature is 6770K or 6500K very close to the search. Gamma, meanwhile, is 1.8 by default, so more to view in bright room, but as the Advanced Mode Improvement of Contrasts (ACE) is enabled by default, we see that it is not at all linear. What differences between references XD8505, XD8577 and XD8599? Let me be clear: no! This is simply references marketed only to please some signs that make large volumes of sales, so they do not suffer from competition on the Internet. You will probably see a little difference, often on the index of fluidity XR1000 instead of XR800, but these are purely marketing indices. There is no visible difference between a Motionflow XR800 and XR1000. ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancer), the famous setting "Improvement of Advanced Contrast" could be compared to a very efficient dynamic contrast. Still, I always advise to disable dynamic contrasts, but that ACE is not like the others. Note that I do not say it is faultless, but it brings so many dynamics of the image on an IPS panel that is difficult to do without. Moreover, it enables up to 1200: 1 ANSI contrast. Its main strength is that it can offer a hyper dynamic image, without clogging the black (it is the opposite, it opens totally black and greatly improves readability in dark scenes). In lit room or in daylight, the illusion is so perfect, you'd swear that this TV has a contrast very powerful, even more powerful than some VA panels. Better, this ACE is devilishly effective with UHD Blu-ray because it totally transforms HDR rendering. No, the HDR seems bland, uninteresting and bridled, while if it is active, HDR rendering is very nice. Indeed, despite a very limited coverage Rec.2020, the XD85 offers one of the best colorimetric market through its IPS panel and its algorithm Triluminos remastered colors in Wide Gamut very effectively maintaining a natural. Only the DX900 who offered me a better colorimetry thanks to its LED red phosphorus that help provide intense red that IPS while retaining the advantages of a VA panel. In addition, Sony XD85 offers colorimetry very fair cardboard output and angles very open visions that allow the whole family to enjoy a good image regardless of his place on the couch. However, this TV is clearly not recommended for those who watch their movies in dark room. Besides, if you watch your movies in darkened room, there is absolutely no reason to buy the XD85, since the X85C offers exactly the same functionality, but with a VA panel and a very good contrast. True, the colors will be slightly less beautiful but dark room contrast is still paramount. The Sony XD85 is limited to enjoy the UHD Blu-ray, with a slab 8 bit HDR rendering flanged (bright peak at 425 cd / m², whatever the size of the target HDR), but again, the ACE saves setting and can offer an ultra dynamic image, very pleasant to look lit room. Los LED se encuentran en el lado izquierdo y derecho del marco - 2 bandas.
La primera tira de luces de columnas de la grúa y la segunda tira de LED se iluminan dos columnas en el centro de la pantalla.

Si, pero se dividen por secciones, el problema es que una imagen con contraste y brillo en la parte superior es difícil para el sistema hacerlo de forma correcta, aunque muy loable.

tengo actualmente una 65W955B de 2014 y quisiera dar el salto a 4K , por precio puedo aspirar a la 65XD85xx o a la que próximante se supone que sale la 65XD7505.

He leido del bajo contraste y negros pobres de los paneles IPS que monta entre otros el modelo XD85xx , la mia creo que monta también IPS o así lo tengo entendido (según reviews de rtings, de hecho el valor que le daban a la mia de 2014 en contraste era inferior a esta de 2016) y es algo que o mi vista está muy deteriorada o al ver todo con suficiente luz no noto esa carencia de contraste pues estoy conforme con la calidad de imagen, simplemente quiero dar el salto a 4K (netflix, juegos pc , etc) .

Por lo cual me surge la duda, ¿creéis que la calidad de imagen sería similar a la mia? ¿o es peor el panel IPS en este nuevo modelo XD85xx ? aclaro que siempre veo la tv con suficiente luz, nunca a oscuras.

Tu tele del 2014, y esta que mencionas del 2016, montan paneles IPS, que dan bastante menos contraste pero mucho mejores ángulos de visión.
La diferencia está en que la Sony XD85 es 4K y HDR, con lo cual, de entrada la diferencia ya es considerable, aunque eso sí, ni tiene el suficiente contraste porque es un panel IPS, ni cubre el suficiente espacio de color DCI-P3, ni produce los suficientes nits para cumplir con los estándares de HDR 10, ni tampoco monta panel 10 bits.

Tu W955B es IPS también así que no notarías un cambio respecto al contraste con la XD85.
Con luz siempre vas a verla bien en cuanto al contraste, solo poniendo un punto de luz por la noche al lado de la TV ya mitiga esa falta de contraste y nivel de negros.

No creo que sea un buen cambio, al fin y al cabo es "igual" pero ganando en resolución y poco más, mira mejor la KD-65X8508C si es que todavía la encuentras a buen precio o directamente irte a la KD-65XD9305.

La XD9305 la había contemplado también pero en rtings destacan el "alto" inputlag, bastante por encima de lo que nos tiene acostumbrados sony aunque honestamente no se si llegaría a notarlo en partidas online (muchas veces nos dejamos llevar por números y estadísticas), y es que gran parte del uso sería el de juegos tipo shooters online. De todos modos sobre este tema, para juegos ¿cómo la veis la XD93?

Respecto al modelo de 2015 pues es dificil o imposible encontrarlo en tiendas online , tendré que mirar en tiendas físicas pero por donde vivo no hay mucho que rascar, si te la traen ya es un logro y luego se pasan con el precio , pero sé que hubiera sido lo ideal, el modelo 2015.

Como última opción (y a la espera de saber valores de inputlag) sería esperarme , ahorrar un poco (bastante) más y tirarme al barro con la ZD9, pero claro la economía no da para muchos lujos.

Seguiré atento al foro, e indagando sobre más modelos / opciones.

Compañero es peligroso el autoconvencimiento.....mas de 45-50 ms para shooters online es (en mi opinion de años jugando) un poco alto.....lo ideal en tele entre 20ms y 40ms....

Si que puedes llegar a notarlo y chafarte la experiencia.....y ese valor marcas que no sean samsung es dificil que lo corrijan con un firm....

Vamos a ver, que la XD85 ya supone una importante mejora sobre la que tienes solo por ser compatible con 4K HDR 2016, ya que te va a permitir ver vídeos en You Tube a más calidad por el VP9, te va a permitir reproducir los UHD HDR sin conversión descendente de color y SDR por ser compatible con HDCP 2.2 y además Netflix 4K HDR. Solo por estas tres cosas, ya supone un importante salto en calidad de imagen respecto a la que tienes a pesar de las limitaciones que he comentado en mi anterior post. Eso sí, con la DX93 triunfas, pero te comes su imput lag que es algo alto

leonigsxr1000k5, efectivamente no me hace gracia esos 50 y pico ms de inputlag, por eso a priori no la contemplaba a pesar de que todo indica que es mejor tv que la XD85 y aunque mas cara no se sube demasiado de precio , es que a veces uno (hablo por mi) se deja llevar por números y valores que luego en la realidad no suelen ser demasiado relevantes para disfrutar de tu compra, pero en el caso de los juegos para los que voy a usar en gran medida la tv, pues me tira un poco para atrás.

capitangominolas , me alegra leer eso, yo como decia antes me gustaría que ya que cambias sea para mejor, aunque entiendo que con el tema del panel iba a ser una mejora muy leve (resolución y HDR ¿?) y que si quiero pata negra tengo que irme de la XD93 para arriba..... yo en no viéndose peor la XD85 que la que tengo creo que me basta, será cosa de verlas en vivo, o esperar nuevos modelos, etc.

leonigsxr1000k5, efectivamente no me hace gracia esos 50 y pico ms de inputlag, por eso a priori no la contemplaba a pesar de que todo indica que es mejor tv que la XD85 y aunque mas cara no se sube demasiado de precio , es que a veces uno (hablo por mi) se deja llevar por números y valores que luego en la realidad no suelen ser demasiado relevantes para disfrutar de tu compra, pero en el caso de los juegos para los que voy a usar en gran medida la tv, pues me tira un poco para atrás.

capitangominolas , me alegra leer eso, yo como decia antes me gustaría que ya que cambias sea para mejor, aunque entiendo que con el tema del panel iba a ser una mejora muy leve (resolución y HDR ¿?) y que si quiero pata negra tengo que irme de la XD93 para arriba..... yo en no viéndose peor la XD85 que la que tengo creo que me basta, será cosa de verlas en vivo, o esperar nuevos modelos, etc.

Compañero, yo al recomendar cosas me pongo en el lugar de la persona, siempre lo hago, y suelo ser prudente.....yo me compre la eg920 con mucha ilusion PERO al tener un inputlag de 50ms....a mi personalmente no estaba a gusto jugando online.....si pides una tele exclusivamente para jugar lo primero es el LAG, eso aqui y en madrid, y despues viene el contraste, negros, smart etc....

Yo pienso que un valor de mas de 45-50ms para jugar online es un valor un poco alto, no lo pongo para jorobar a nadie ni llevar la nota discordante, lo pongo pensando en la ilusion del comprador y pensando en él y en su dinero.........nunca recomiendo por recomendar, siempre me pienso la respuesta........

La DX900 que me compré, en la primera review que hicieron me parece que sacaba un LAG de 68ms......automaticamente dije que no era tele para mi, PERO luego en hdfever dijeron que panasonic saco un firm y que bajo a 35ms, por eso me la compre.....

Hay gente que dice que no importa el LAG que tal y cual, yo lo respeto por supuesto, pero luego soy mi opinion como jugador desde hace 20 años......(aunque con teles modernas solo llevo 10 años).....
Un buen amigo mio tiene la XD93 y me ha invitado a su casa, e ire encantado, me ha dicho que es un EXCELENTE televisor, y el chaval entiende mucho......pero no es jugador....

Dicho mi opinion amigo, puedes comprarte la que quieras, yo para jugar online no me volveria a comprar la 920.........para todo lo demas SI es un oled bueno,bonito y barato y se ve del carajo

EDITO: de todas formas aunque no es samusng....no descartaria por completo que sony (que ha cuidado a los jugadores las 3 ultimas generaciones o los 3 ultimos años, sacara un firmware para reducirlo y dejarlo en los 37-39ms que suelen tener las sony) siendo samnsung ya lo habrian hecho, es mas lo hicierion con la serie 65hu8500 de hace 3 años
