QUO VADIS en dvd (ya era hora).
Para el 5 de noviembre ha anunciado Warner la salida de este clasico en dvd.
Se espera edicion de 2 discos y la imagen restaurada.
Mas vale tarde que nunca, o mas vale un buena edicion de Warner, aunque tarde, que tenernos que tragar un cutre edicion de impulso records. (vease: TIERRA DE FARAONES).
PD. para quien no esté al dia, Warner se dedica a ceder los derechos de algunas peliculas de su catalogo para que las edite Impulso records (sello español) con master NO anamorficos y con una calidad muy mediocre.

Warner Home Video has announced a 2-disc special edition of Quo Vadis which stars Robert Taylor, Deborah Kerr, Leo Genn and Peter Ustinov. The Mervyn LeRoy directed film will be available to own from the 11th November, and should retail at $20.97.
As well as undergoing a meticulous photochemical restoration, this new release also restores composer Miklos Rozsa’s magnificent overture as originally presented during the film’s premiere roadshow theatrical engagements. Extras will include an audio commentary by filmmaker/writer F.X. Feeney, and a documentary tracing the roots of the film from its start as a bestseller. A Blu-ray release will follow just in time for Easter 2009. Stay tuned for the artwork.
