yo lo devolvi porque no me leia los vcd's, pero el 90% de los xvid que puse se los trago...

También estoy intentando hacer multizona mi reproductor lg RHT 398 y no soy capaz. Respecto al primer método que dices, ¿qué significa OP change y cómo se hace (si es que es fácil)? Respecto a la segunda opción, he visto que puedo bajar el fichero RH3xx.iso, pero me gustaría saber qué cambios hace en el grabador antes de instalarlo a ciegas. Muchas gracias

I´m trying to make multiregion free my DVD recorder LG RHT 398 but I don't know how to do it. I don't understand "OP change" and how to do it (in case it is easy). I also checked that I can download the file RH3xx.iso, but don´t want to install it before I know what changes makes in the recorder. Thank you very much for your help

To change the OP you have to enter in the service-menu by pressing CLEAR on the remote control and EJECT on the recorder and keep them pressed until the menu appears (about 6 seconds). It's easy to do.

RHxxx.iso only set your recorder region free. Just this. But I guess it's not reversible.

Perfecto, prefiero el sistema del menú OP por si tengo que deshacer los cambios (me queda un año de garantía). Ya he entrado en el menú y veo que hay valores desde OP1 hasta OPA. ¿Caul es el que tengo que cambiar, y qué valor tengo que ponerle? Los valores que me aparecen, por si los necesitas para saber qué cambiar, son (en hexadecimal): (VER MÁS ABAJO)

Great, I rather prefer the OP way, just in case I have to reverse the changes (I still have one year of garantee). I´ve already entered the service-menu, and I have values from OP1 to OPA. Which one must I change, and what is the value I must put? Just in case you need the actual values, here they are (in hexadecimal):
OP1: da
OP2: 30 (this line also have "071129C", seems to be a date)
OP3: 51
OP4: 60
OP5: 0e
OP6: ae
OP7: 45
OP8: 13
OP9: 0d
OPA: 00

Also, to exit the menu, I have to press the button "MP", I don't know which one is it.

¡Increible! Ya tengo funcionando mi grabador con multizona. Otro día probaré el cambio a permitir grabar en MPEG4. ¿Cómo sabes todas esas cosas de la configuración? ¿Sabes si se puede cambiar algo para permitir grabar desde el disco duro al USB? Gracias por toda la ayuda

I'm happpy it worked.
I did a lot of experiments with my Rh188HS recorder, and many trips & tricks are similar for the new series.
There is no known way to transfer fron hdd to usb.
MPEG4 recording, will give you the possibility to record directly in compressed format (after OP managing, you can choose in the setup menu if enable or disable it).

Tengo un LG RHT397H y siempre he querido grabar en MPEG4, aunque por lo que he leido tal vez no pueda grabarlo en ningun sitio.

He leido acerca de cambiar los OP (que no se que son) para conseguir esto.
¿Como se cambian los OP, mas concretamente el OP6?
He leido que con poner 8F en la OP6 se consigue grabar en MPEG4, aunque cambia alguna cosa en pantalla, ¿hay otro tipo de configuracion mas optimo?

¿Se podria conseguir sacar ficheros de DIVX al USB o a DVD?
Es que me compre una camara de video que graba en divx y puedo pasar los ficheros al disco duro, pero luego nos los puedo sacar a DVD.

¿Hay manera de actualizar el firmware o los codec de video, es que algunos ficheros divx no los reproduce bien (pixela mucho), en concreto los de la camara de video?

¿Para que sirve el multizona? He estado buscando informacion y no se para que sirve.
