Hola gente,
tengo un Duo desde hace unas tres semanas. Me decidí por él tras leer muchos foros, este entre otros. Gracias a todos los que opinais y nos ayudais a decidir.

Vengo de un Siemens Gigaset 740, un lujo de PVR pero que se ha quedado atrás con el paso del tiempo.
Uso el TVix principalmente en modo TV, lo uso como sintonizador principal.
Pasado este tiempo me he decidido a poner un mensaje a soporte de DVico que os hago llegar. Como veréis se centra en los problemas con el Time Shift (caramente le falta un hervor) y en funcionalidades del PVR que soportaba mi antiguo Gigaset. Cuando reciba contestación os lo hago saber.

I have a SlimS1 Duo 3 weeks ago (2.0.8), and in general my experience is good specially on the media player functionality, but it's no so good with the PVR features.

I have frequently hang-up especially when the time shifting is enabled. When you have just started the TV mode with the auto time shift enabled and try go backward or forward, it's frequent to hang-up the player. It seems like if you do not manipulate the time shift for a time (1-2 minutes) it goes more stable.

Additionally there are some features related with PVR functionality that are missing in this device but are very common on cheaper and older PVRs (I was an user of the famous old Siemens Gigaset 740AV). Let me list those into importance order (under my point of view). Please get this as a list of suggestions to include into future firmware versions in order to improve the user experience and get this device closer to other common PVR in the market.

1.-Channel ordering: The scanned TV channels cannot be ordered based on your preferences. This is very important in countries (like Spain) where the TV channels has historical commercial names very linked with channel list position. The favorite list is a patch, but do not supply the agility to go directly to channels by key number, and you do not get the EPG with the TV channels in the user preference order.
2.-Red dot always visible. If you are viewing a TV channel while it is recording there is always a uncomfortable big red dot on the screen. It would be enough to see this only into the info bar.
3.-Time shifting saving when instant recording: If you has been viewing a TV program during some time with the time shifting enabled and at the middle of the film you decide to record it, you cannot include into the file the time shift buffer.
4.-Time shifting on recording channel: When you are recording a channel and viewing it at the same time, you cannot pause or go back like the time shifting functionality.
5.-Time shifting functionality while recording other channel. If the device is recording a TV channel you don't have the time shifting functionality while viewing other channels.
6.-PIP. One of the advantages of to have two turners is to be able to do PIP with two TV channels. It enables you to look another channel during a commercial interruption without missing it for example.
7.-Streaming from a recording file. When you open the file of a recording TV channel it stops when reach the end of the recorded time at the moment you open the file, instead of perform streaming or go real time TV when you reach the real time. In fact is similar to time shifting but based on recording file.
8.-Record programming by search string. The recording programming is always based on time frame, but it's very useful (specially for TV series) to be able to specify recording by search string (ex. *house*, *lost*, etc). In that way, the recording is activated when the device finds a TV program on this channel that match the search string criteria. Ideally it could work even the device is on stand-by.

Y con respecto a tu mensaje a Dvico, juer que nivelazo de inglés. Y sí, muy bien escrito y explicado todo, me han gustado algunas mejoras que has propuesto, sobre todo la del PIP

A ver si en Dvico se ponen las pilas, efectivamente el modelo Duo necesita ese hervor!!
