Una duda...si el sony te da una calidad de imagen similar...
¿el comprar el zidoo es porque es más versátil a la hora de leer todo tipo de archivos?
¿o que echabas de menos en el sony para comprarte un media center?
¿o porque la entrada red es 10/100?

Pues para el uso que yo le doy, el Sony es un reproductor mas enfocado al formato físico (también puede por red o usb, pero bastante limitado, no lee isos ni carpetas bluray, tienes que ir al archivo m2ts para reproducirlo o MKV etc).

Mientras que el Zidoo, es un reproductor multimedia, enfocado a la reproducción en red o usb, que lee todo tipo de archivos, le pone su caratula, su sinopsis, su info etc.

En mi opinión, son totalmente compatibles, lo que tiene uno no lo tiene el otro y viceversa.

En las especificaciones de los nuevos Zidoo Z9X, Z10pro, Z1000pro, etc.. el fabricante afirma que estos equipos
permiten "HD-Audio passthrough (including DSD:SACD/ISO/DFF/DSF) up to 192kHz".
¿Eso es cierto?... ¿lo habéis probado?
¿porqué la limitación de 192khz en passthroug?...
En los modelos anteriores también afirmaban algo parecido (después lo corrigieron) y nunca funcionó.
Lo que realmente hacen estos modelos anteriores (Z9S, Z10, etc..) es recodificar estos formatos a PCM limitado a 192 khz.

Alguien puede perder unos minutos y probar si consigue hacer esto? Querría que por defecto las películas o capítulos de series estuviesen por defecto con los subtítulos en español pero no soy capaz de hacerlo funcionar, tengo que cambiarlo al ver cada archivo.
Supuse que si configuraba en las opciones rápidas en default language el audio ingles y en subtitulos español lo haría solo pero no lo hace :_(
He hecho reset de fábrica, multiples firmwares, elegir otro idioma de subtitulo por defecto y nada no cambia a lo que yo quiera.
Alguien puede probarlo o ya lo usa y le funciona?

Me contesto a mi mismo.
En el foro oficial de Zidoo se trata en parte este asunto:
Los formatos de audio de tipo DSD/DSF (cualquiera que tenga un equipo de cierto nivel audiofilo usa estos formatos) son convertidos a PCM.
Así que seguimos en lo mismo que con los modelos anteriores.
Y para colmo seguimos con ese programa tan malo para reproducir música...Music Player.
Ah..y las betas siguen y siguen...
Uno que se olvida de comprar un nuevo Zidoo y se plantea otro alternativa

El problema es que no hay ninguna alternativa completa de modelos para comprar en Europa, ni tiene pinta de que vayan a sacar algo a corto plazo (próximos meses) Estos Zidoo y los Dune son lo mejor que hay, por eso en mi caso, como tú, de momento continuaré tirando de pc como no me corre prisa el comprar nada.

Tanto Zidoo como Dune sacarán modelos más premium el año que viene, como por ejemplo el Zidoo X...

Veremos si no tienen todos estos problemas asociados, aunque mucho me temo que sí.
