SONY ZD9 series (FALD Backlight Master Drive)

Quiero pillarme esta televisión, pero viendo el historial de sony.
Pensáis que de aquí a julio del año que viene abra bajado de precio?
No se si pillarla ahora o al año que viene que seguro que me ahorro algo.

Compañero de aquí a Julio del año que viene seguro que bajará de precio . La cuestión es la prisa que tengas tu . Sino te corre prisa , espera. Pero puede ser que para el año que viene haya salido otro modelo , te guste , y estés en la misma situación que ahora , esperando a que baje de precio . Yo estaba igual que tu para pillarme mi tele . Al final salió una oferta que no pude rechazar y me tiré.

Si esperas nunca compras y si compras sabes que te quedarás atrás.

Yo voy a esperar a finales de mes, aunque no se si al final la compraré, pero bueno. En Supersonido está sobre los 4080 euros, donde más barata está.

En Mediamarkt a 4229 y en ECI (hasta el día 7 de noviembre) a 4249.

Según comentan en AVForums -rumores- de uno que habló con un representante de Sony, dice que a finales de este mes-principios de Diciembre (Black Friday - Inicio de camapaña navideña) vendrá una buena rebaja de precio. Insisto, dicen.

Del dicho al hecho, hay mucho trecho jeje, lo que pasa es que allí son diferentes precios que los de aquí y en la zona € se sube un poco más por las paredes.

Serían 4254€ que menos el IVA (al menos en sus condiciones indican que es el 21%) se quedaría en 3515€, los restantes 700 y pico euros te los dan para gastar allí. Y con esos 700 se puede pillar una consola, repro de BD UHD, ampli, etc.

Yo tengo que decir que una vez ya apalabrada la 65e6v , viendo que le habian bajado el lag a la zd9.....me lo pense muy muy mucho jehe.....pero quiero tener un oled en 65"

Pero si alguien me comprara la dx900 me tiraba a por la sony y asi ya la reostia

Capitan la dx900 te encantaria.....te lo garantizo....pero tienes que saber que hay escenas que la atenuacion se enciende donde no debe y se ven cosas raras......en una peli puede ser un 5% de su visionado.....pero el problema existe

Es solamente error de software me juego hasta dinero.....porque el nido de abeja trabaja muy bien en el tipo escena central brillante con fondo negro.....donde falla es en otras situaciones

El problema es que pese a ser el tope de gama y la mejor tele para HDR, sigue siendo MUY cara incluso con los descuentos de ECI y demás.

Por 3500 la compraba hoy mismo. Estoy esperando que algún comercio ponga un 10% en su web (Black Friday?) un día sin IVA, oferta puntual, etc.

La Pana se ha puesto muy interesante en Carrefour, pero el cheque de gasto allí tendría que ir para nuevo ampli y repro, el repro vale, pero los amplis que tienen allí son solo Pioneer y modelos viejos

En fin, que no se que hacer.

Por cierto ayer pusieron una serie de fotos bestiales y vuelven a comentar que ellos no ven halos (lo diré así: ELLOS, no YO, no ven halos, YO no la tengo ni se como se ve o no se ve....para los que luego entrar a meter cizaña) y que los negros los ven como los cojones de un grillo:

La gente en general (menos algunas unidades defectuosas o con banding, fugas de luz donde no debería, etc. que las devuelven y les dan una unidad correcta, como debe ser) está super contenta. No voy a copiar aquí todos los comentarios, pero la gente sigue embobada con la tele. El comentario que dejé en otra página parece el más repetido:

I did notice that when on an all grey settings screen if I stood up and walked up to the TV and looked down on it I could see two very clear bands just off centre right but they vanish and never show up in any content when you return to a sensible viewing angle!

I'm very very impressed with the blacks (and near blacks) - indeed I played various LG OLED HDR demos and my wife and kids thought it was an OLED! Blooming is virtually non-existent and in many cases is literally non-existent :cool:

The built in video player seems to play everything I throw at it via USB 3.0 without any problems whereas Kodi and VLC struggle with the 4K & HDR stuff. YouTube also plays all the 4K videos I can throw at it without any buffering - as too does Netflix and Amazon Prime.

HDR on Netflix is very good - although subtle it really does pop when it needs too and adds a realistic depth to images. I've also nearly burnt my retinas out a couple of times!! I spent a while messing with settings while watching Daredevil before I realised Season 2 is not in HDR!!!

The Android OS has been fine - quick and no troubles at all so far. It updated itself as soon as I started it.

I only have a few minor issues so far:

I'm sitting a foot closer to the ZD9 than my previous 65" because I'm waiting to swap it and hang it on the wall, so it is currently sitting on a stand in front and also slightly lower too. It is amazing how this messes with your viewing pleasure and is actually very disconcerting when you've been used to a particular setup for a while. Can't wait to move it now.

I'm in settings hell right now. I've applied the AVForums settings and then @10k's and then tweaked... and tweaked... and tweaked :confused: Just when I think I'm happy I watch something and start tweaking again! I think I need to get it calibrated so then I know it's perfect.

So images look sublime and others not so. Never bad but sometimes too soft (BBC HD) or grainy / noisy (Daredevil 4K Netflix). The latter may be the style of course.

I'm also flip flopping through the motion settings* as this is my single biggest obsession - I can spot a judder a mile off. So far never on Sky Q but on panning shots in Daredevil and Marco Polo on Netflix and on some mkv TV shows. But I can't decide between True Cinema, Smooth, Clear and Custom (with 10K's settings)! I also don't know if it is the combination of these and Reality and Film Mode!? Too many combos :eek:

I also can't send a 2160p 10 bit single from my Sky Q to the ZD9 for some reason. 2160p 8 bit works fine. The Sky Q says it doesn't support it. So I'm currently suspecting my HDMI cables - which is odd because the Sky Q one is from Sky and supposedly certified for 4K.

Not watched any 1080p blu-rays yet either and I've not bought a 4K Blu-ray player yet. I'm eyeing the new Panasonic dmp-ub700.

* ¡Alguien que me entiende! Y tiene las mismas obsesiones -parece- que yo: movimiento y detalle en sombra (lógicamente más negros lo mejores posibles, HDR, etc.).

Lo dicho, teniendo en cuenta la espectacular bajada de precios que está haciendo LG (especialmente en USA: https://www.cnet.com/news/oled-tv-fr...e-of-the-year/ ; 3000 dólares la de 65"! y 2000 la de 55), la Z aunque sea tope de gama y llegue casi a 2000 nits (o los pasa al 1%) sigue siendo cara; debería estar entorno a los 3500 para ser competitiva.

Bueno chicos yo ya me he decidido, viendo que en ECI la oferta termina día 9 y que puedo pagarlo en 12 meses a 355€/mes, me voy a lanzar por ella el miércoles. El chico me ha dicho que la sirven en 48H y que es a partir del día de recepción cuando cuentan los 15 días (confirmado en su web) para la devolución. Eso nos lleva al día 26; el 25 es el Black Friday, así que si surgiera alguna buena oferta esos días la podría devolver sin problemas.

Por cierto el chico que me atendió (ECI de Málaga) un 10, Antonio G., que quizá hasta nos lea por aquí. La primera vez en mi vida que he visto un comercial que sabía perfectamente el producto que vendía: que tenía 650 zonas, que era direct LED, que tenía el procesador X1 Extreme, el HDR de 1900 nits y el Xtended basado en objetos...impresionante, le debe gustar este mundo al chico porque yo creo que ni los mejores comerciales están tan bien informados jeje. Un placer.

Sobre la Z, prometo fotos, settings y calibración profunda (X-Rite i1 Display Pro) o bueno si alguien es de la zona de Málaga o cerca, se puede apuntar y además de calibrar hacer una videoreview o lo que queráis

Ya con ganas después de leer el último post de AVS, donde aparte de quedarse flipando con la calidad de imagen (además tuvo el lujo de verlo en sala dedicada, la G6, ZD9 y una LED LG de gama alta), dice que el 3D es bastante bueno (esto a mi me da igual, como si no tuviera 3D) y despotrica contra el SO Android que lleva, algo que todo el mundo coincide y por lo visto es junto el sonido lo peor de la TV. Os lo dejo aquí:

OK, It's time for me to eat my words. Previously, after comparing the XBR75Z9D to the LG OLED77G6P, I said that the Sony had too much crosstalk and that the LG had none. I also said that the blacks were darker on the OLED than the Sony.

What a difference a better store makes. I took a drive to a store farther away from me that had a better reputation, and got to see both TVs nearly side-by-side (along with the LG 86UH900). All three TVs had been calibrated, and all three were connected to the new Panasonic 4K Blu-ray player. It was a revelation seeing all three in action.

First, the Sony TV was every bit as good as the OLED, if not a tiny bit better. Can't put my finger on why, but it just looked... better... by a nose. Could just be personal preference. The blacks on both TVs were superbly dark and inky, and the colors on both were vibrant and accurate. But LG's TruMotion "soap opera mode" is a disaster of jutter and artifacts *, whereas the Sony's image processing didn't seem to hurt at all - it actually seemed to help a little.

Second, the Sony's operating system is absolutely atrocious. It's gotta be one of the more unintuitive GUIs I've seen on a television. Horrible. Whereas the LG's was very intuitive and easy to navigate (except for figuring out how to find the advanced picture controls to turn off TruMotion, which were buried in an unexpected place).

Third, the 3D on the Sony was crosstalk-free. None whatsoever. I even played the X-Men Apocalypse 3D Blu-ray about which I've been complaining for a while, and if there was any crosstalk at all, I didn't see it. Absolutely gorgeous. And the Sony 3D active glasses were not uncomfortable (although trying to pair them with the TV nearly drove the salesperson mad). The LG, on the other hand, has a problem: when sitting in the perfect position at the perfect height, there's also zero crosstalk. But stand up or sit lower, and suddenly horrible crosstalk appears at either the top or bottom of the screen. This happened on both the 77-inch OLED and the 86-inch LED. It was actually worse on the 86-inch because since the screen is so large, there isn't any perfect place to sit! So there's always going to be a little crosstalk at the top or bottom, depending on how it's mounted.

The OLED did seem to have better depth of 3D - when things popped out of the screen on the OLED, they came right up to your face. Didn't get that on the Sony. For example, there are some scenes on the new Ghostbusters 3D Blu-ray where the proton pack beams jump out of the screen into the audience, and on the OLED it seemed like they were zapping past my head. Not quite so on the Sony. Who knows - maybe there's a setting in the Sony's awful O/S that increases/decreases depth (or maybe it's on the Panasonic player)?

I'm bummed about the Sony's navigation system, but that just means more time mastering it - it'll work in the end. I'm disappointed that the Sony maxes out at 75 inches (I don't count the 100-inch one since it's a $60,000 piece of vaporware at the moment); Sony should have an 85-inch version of this for $15-18k. Also annoyed that the 75-inch Sony costs $1,000 more than the 86-inch LG, but I'm more perplexed why the 77-inch OLED costs $12,000 more than the 75-inch Sony.

Regardless, everything else about the Sony is spectacular, so this is the one I've decided to buy. (Which means everyone else should wait because a month or two after I buy this, Sony will announce the 85-inch version and LG will announce an 86-inch OLED!)

*Esto es en lo que, he insistido más de una vez cuando tuve la OLED y casi me crucifican en el hilo, junto a los crushing black (por cierto, en AVSF hay una teoría muy válida sobre ello; por lo visto las zonas con IREs bajos las OLED -de LG- no son capaces de reproducirlas correctamente sin que se vean artefactos, ruido y "pixeles danzando" (expresión inglesa). ¿Solución de LG? aplastar esas zonas y ale, ya no se ve. ¿Solución de Pana? Simplemente se ve esas zonas sin problema alguno. Problema de electrónica entonces.

Y sobre lo que dice el chaval de las tiendas, no puedo estar más de acuerdo. En ECI de Málaga tienen la Sony debajo de un foco bestial de luz, modo Cinema pro y contraste sobre el 50 junto con el brillo y el Dimming en Alto. ¿resultado? Se ve como el culo. Las OLED se ven mucho mejor...pero las que mejor se ven son las Samsung incluso las edge. Vamos que en las tiendas y grandes superficies, se ven mejor aquellos que más pasta ponen en publicidad y márketing.

Ya era hora de que alguien se comprara esta tv y comentara impresiones. En USA y RU sí que está más extendida su venta.

Lo bueno es que tengo ECI a 2 minutos andando de mi casa, así que cualquier duda o problema puedo ir en nada

Por cierto en UK o USA, no recuerdo bie, regalan 3 películas en UHD de una selección de 8 de su servicio de Streaming; además de en UK 5 años de garantía. Me da que en España...
