Dear Manuel,
This reviewer only believes in measurement; and unfortunately also measures in non-praxis relevant ways. He never tested the real sound of our products.
1. measurements for analogue signals and output power are good according the reviewer. The SR7015 delivers over 200W in 4 ohms by less than 1% distortion.
2. We choose a digital filter which fits to the typical Marantz sound philosophy.*This may result in non-optimal measurement results, but this does not reflect the real sound experience; which is very good by the way. There is a big gap between theoretical measurements from the reviewer and practical sound experience.
3. The measurement data from the DAC is in fact measured at the pre-outs, which influences the result significant in a bad way because the reviewer tested at a pre out level of 2V, which again is not relevant for the intended use case. At 2 Volt, the pre out is already at maximum output level and the signal gets overamplified and distorted.*With a digital input signal of 0dB, the volume can be raised up to 73 (max = 100) without any distortion on the pre outs. Only with higher volume levels, the distortion will raise, but only at the pre outs; not at the speaker outputs.
Overall we are very confident, that our Model SR7015 will fulfil all your wishes for a good sound.
Best Regards
