Ok, I made up my mind, I will request technological asylum in Korea (SOUTH-Korea that is)...

Samsung presents a set of 3 products with a DLP TV. It has nice specifications and one of the goodies are detachable speakers that are wireless too (2.4Ghz).
The DVD player/burner and HDD combo are DivX, SA-CD and DVD audio compatible and the device is also USB Host, so you can "drain" your pictures onto the HDD or simply access the contents of your MP3 player or digital camera from the TV.

The kit is available in Korea for the ridiculously low price of 3300EUR... so if you don't mind, I'll start packing my bags right away and leave for Korea tonight."
