Pink Floyd en alta resolución y 5.1

Parece que, por fin, ahora sí va en serio. En Amazon.com pueden verse imágenes con sorprendente resolución de los llamados "IMMERSION BOX SET" de tres álbumes míticos de la no menos mítica banda:

Dark Side Of The Moon.

Wish You Were Here.

The Wall.

Su lanzamiento está previsto a partir de septiembre de este año y se trata de ediciones de auténtico superlujo, incluyendo nuevas remezclas estéreo y 5.1 hechas por James Guthrie, DVD incluyendo la mezcla cuadrafónica original incluída en el cartucho de 8 pistas (todas ellas en DD 448 y 640 Kbs) y BD, con las nuevas remezclas en LPCM 24/96. Además, con abundante material videográfico y de conciertos, demos, artículos para coleccionistas y fans, etc., con una cuidadísima presentación y un artwork resideñado por completo. Todo ello nunca editado oficialmente, aunque muchas cosas pueden conseguirse por ahí.

Una pregunta, que diferencia hay entre las versiones que salieron dts en su momento de los cd's que se reeditan ahora?

Parar empezar, pakiko, las ediciones CD-DTS eran simples transfers de las grabaciones cuadrafónicas disponibles en vinilo o en cartuchos de 8 pistas, más o menos remasterizados con herramientas informáticas "caseras". Hay una página específicamente dedicada al proyecto llamada www.whypinkfloyd.com donde aparece toda la información disponible por el momento.

The legendary band, who are still one of the most successful and iconic artists of all time, recently signed an agreement with EMI which has allowed the development of a multi-format programme of packages, many containing archive material that has been collated during an extensive process between EMI and Pink Floyd for a range of media formats.
